BANCO DE GUAYAQUIL DONATES $5 MILLION FOR COVID-19 EMERGENCY IN ECUADOR

The Banco de Guayaquil announced the donation of five million dollars to the “Salvar Vidas” initiative, led by its largest shareholder Guillermo Lasso, leader of the CREO movement.

This initiative aims to collect donations and allocate them for the acquisition of medical equipment and thus strengthen the capacity of the health system.

"As a sign of support for our doctors, the public health of Ecuador, and above all, for the most affected families, Banco Guayaquil joins this purpose to help save the lives of Ecuadorians" according to the statement released by the bank in social networks.

A few days ago Banco Guayaquil had made a donation of one million dollars for food. And also the acquisition of 25 mechanical respirators for Solca.

This is not the only entity that donates, Banco Pichincha announced this weekend the creation of a fund with $ 10 million dollars for the purchase of medical supplies that contribute to stopping the expansion of the coronavirus, and to protect the people who offer their health services in hospital centers.
