Labor contracts in Ecuador

Ministry of Labor System

The Ministry of labor regulates the work contracts in Ecuador. It is important to have a contract, so

the company can stipulate the workers obligations and its own obligations in case there is any

conflict that ends up the labor relationship.

Also, this makes sure once the worker quits or is fired,he/she receives a fair compensation /Liquidation. This can be done by creating an account on the Ministry of Labor SAITE system http://contratos.trabajo.gob.ec/contratos-web/). Once the

account is created, you can proceed to register the contracts. The system itself will guide you

through the whole process where you will upload the contract and other documents. It also has a

tool used when the person does not work for you anymore so you can calculate the money to be

paid in the end.

Do not forget, the IESS is linked to The Ministry of Labor. If you have more questions regarding this matter please email us at info@ecuaassist.com
