The Ecuadorian government announced on Friday, November 23, the start of the reconstruction work on the airport in Manta, a work that will have an investment of 21 million dollars with financing from China.
The president explained that the new terminal will have an eight-story control tower, the building will be two floors for boarding and re-embarking and will also have a cargo terminal that did not exist before.
The project will take 18 months, with a large part of manpower from Manabi, which will generate around 350 jobs, he added. Also the government explained that before the area of ​​the terminal was 2,465 m2 and in the future after the reconstruction will be 4,927 m2; The control tower was 18 meters high and will now be 36.6 meters high.
