BILLS OFF THE MARKET

Much has been said about the validity of U.S. currency on the news, internet forums and social media, and which kinds of bills will and won't be accepted at banks, supermarkets, and local businesses in Ecuador. Below you can see the full description of what currency will no longer be accepted starting on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016.

The following bills will not be accepted:

 Torn and excessively patched bills with adhesive tape on both sides.

 Torn and excessively patched bills with adhesive tape that obstructs their identification on both sides.

 Torn and excessively patched bills with adhesive tape and with other material on both sides.
