In Ecuador all deposits are covered by the national deposit insurance as contingency in case of foreclosing or forced financial operations closure, meaning those deposits per person on savings account, checking account or investments on Certificates of Deposit are covered up to $32.000,00 USD, on each financial institution on each Financial sector of Ecuador, which they are:
ø Sector Financiero Público (Financial Public entities)
ø Sector Financiero Privado (Financial Private entities)
ø Sector Financiero Popular (Financial Co-op entities)
This above mentioned means you will be cover just up to 32k on each Sector Financiero.
