Wendy Chan is co-founder of Oceanside Farms, an "AGRIHOOD" - defined as an organized community that integrates agriculture into a residential neighborhood - in Puerto Cayo, Ecuador. Starting her career in marketing and advertising in Hong Kong, FMCG's (fast-moving consumer goods) was her specialty. She was involved with launching and promoting a number of international brands of food and beverage items - from cooking oil to chocolates, dairy items to juices. She then gradually evolved into consulting for large food manufacturers and became a strategist for foreign governments' food export promotional boards. Her projects and scope include the production of special events, culinary trips, cooking shows, trade expos, and food festivals.
Wendy has breadth and depth of knowledge encompassing manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and promotion of food products. Motivated to create more platforms for culinary professionals, particularly those involved with preparing Asian cuisine, she co-authored "New Asian Cuisine" (image attached) a collection of recipes from over 100 celebrity chefs, published in 2006. She remains a tireless promoter of all Asian food in America, professionally and personally.
Now an advocate of sustainability, Wendy sees food as the key in addressing many of today's chronic health problems and even global issues. This led to her co-founding Oceanside Farm Residences, a lifestyle carefully crafted for wellness-focused lifestyle, drawing from a variety of experiences and knowledge, including enrolling in an online course on Sustainable Development.
She has served seven years on the diversity board of the Specialty Food Association, and six years on the Certification Commission of the American Culinary Federation (ACF). She is president of her Condo Board in Long Island City since 2012. A lover of culture and arts, she was also appointed by the former speaker of the New York City Council, Melissa Mark-Viverito, to serve on Carnegie Hall's board of trustees from 2015 - 2017.

Joint Committee on Public Health.Office of State Representative Jeffrey Sanchez. Boston, Massachusetts. Ricardo obtained a Marketing Degree from Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico, and Major in Business Administration from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
